Today, I have decided to start writing

One of the reasons why I bought this iPad (and created with blogsite) is for me to go back to writing. I remember my college professor, Dr. J.I.E. Teodoro,  who told us to keep a diary where we can record any thoughts, ideas we want to remember or share to the world sooner or later.

As a literature major, we are expected to contribute literary pieces to the existing body of knowledge and works of art, for that matter. Poetry is never my cup of tea, so I hope that through the essays (that I will be publishing very soon)  I will be able to come up with something significant for the world to read. Also, through this self imposed writing activity, I will be able to express this feelings inside me that I have been keeping through the years.

Writing is a good mental exercise. It sharpens memory, improves diction and detoxifies oneself. I hope this journal will free me from the negativities and invite more positive vibes around.

The topics that I will be writing are random. These could range from personal, professional and maybe a few commentaries on news and current affairs. I will also be including photos in this journal. Some of the entries here may also be triggered by photos I will soon come across as I browse through a few album collections and photos stored on icloud.

The entries will be written in mixed languages, Hiligaynon, my mother tongue, as well as Filipino and English, my second languages, so as not to deter the authenticity of the feelings I wish to convey.

I hope and pray that I will be able to sustain this writing activity and develop this as an evening habit.

I am very happy, that today, I have decided to start writing.
